Question How to best clone this NVME system drive?

My Dad's computer has its operating system (W10) on a Samsung NVME exactly like the picture below.
I want to backup the drive for him in case anything goes wrong.
How would it be if I bought another of these drives and put it into a USB case then cloned his drive with AOMEI Backup or something similar?
Thanks for reading this,
Samantha :smilecat:

I would make an image of the drive, using AOMEI or macrium or something, and keep it on a NAS and/or external drive. You don't need to buy another drive right away, and even if you do need to restore the image to a different drive later, it doesn't need to be the same model.
