How to benchmark Quake 3 with the newest patch, it won't work right

i usually type in:

timedemo 1
demo demo001

this doesn't seem to work anymore, how else can i bench it now?

Use "demo demo127".
The old demos will be fixed in the next Quake 3 patch.
