Pull all your pitchers from A and AA and pitch them in games against the Yankees.

Seriously, Kevin Long is an absolute failure of a hitting coach. He needs to be fired. Two hits in 6 innings off of a pitcher that has a total of 58 innings of major league experience. Not acceptable.

Shouldn't the mets, marlins and giants also fire their hitting coach?

Strasburg has even less experience 30 innings or so when he matched up against them. All 3 teams combined for 3 hits. the marlins are the only one below 500.

Angels pitcher was just on or it just wasn't the Yankee's day.

Why no complaints about Phil Hughes. gave up the 2 run lead and then some in 5 2/3 innings.

That happens a lot in the big leagues, most teams struggle against guys they have not seen before. These AA pitchers can be effective against anybody once and the second time they face a team they get lit up like a Christmas tree.

Yup that too.

Unless he's serving up meat balls in his 1st outing. Most newbies who are only marginally average will be successful the 1st time. Once they pitched enough there will be plenty of tape and tendencies to analyzed and unless they have "it" they'll be beaten up.

Yankee fans have no right to complain as they always make the playoffs.

So how do you beat the Orioles?

Just show up.

Yea, I love listening to Yankee fans whine. They're the defending champs and have made the playoffs every year but one since 1995. Poor babies.

Some Yankee players consider it an honor to wear the pinstripes. I just wish some of their fans would consider it the same to be a fan. Be happy that your team has such tradition and history behind it. I'm just hoping for a .500 season from my Brew Crew. Ahhh, the days of Molitor, Yount, Gatner, Coop, Oglivie, Fingers, Simmons and Thomas...with Mr. Baseball Bob Uecker announcing the game on the radio.
"Baseball hasn't forgotten me. I go to a lot of Old Timers games and I haven't lost a thing. I sit in the bullpen and let people throw things at me. Just like old times."
"I hit a grand slam off Ron Herbel and when his manager Herman Franks came out to get him, he was bringing Herbel's suitcase."
"I signed with the Milwaukee Braves for three-thousand dollars. That bothered my dad at the time because he didn't have that kind of dough. But he eventually scraped it up."

The Yankees are 7th in the entire Major Leagues in team batting average, and #2 in total runs scored. Fairweather fan, much?

Yankees scored 10 runs today, including 3 homeruns.

Give Kevin Long a long-term contract!
