I'm looking for info on steps for the creative process.

Like let's say you have a bottle of coke and you need to advertise for it. You set it down and look at it and then...?

I'm sure there are stories about how awesome ad campaigns were made or products were thought up, but I can't seem to find any. Any ideas on how to find em?

I've found that creativity, more often than not, is something that's instinctive and can't be learned. However, to be creative you need to be able to think outside the box. I know it seems pretty obvious but if you can't be original or creative, you're pretty much screwed.

It helps to do a kind of "stream of consciousness" writing. Just write down anything that comes to mind, and do not be critical of it whatsoever. Build upon associations. They'll lead you to new ideas.

Yeah, those are all good things. I'm going to read the blog post right now.

Also, I am looking for how it can be done in the workplace. So items like "take a bath" aren't necessarily possible ;).

Thanks!

Based on advertising I see on TV, I think it helps to have part of your brain removed, pureed in a blender, and poured back in.
