How to backup up photos from iphone?

One of my bosses has an iphone5 and she has 10Gb of photos on it. Her phone is so full she can't do updates or install new apps.
She has them backed up to icloud.

I'm not that Apple savy, but I googled some stuff and logged into icloud.com for her. I was surprised to find out you can't see the photos backed up there. Is there a way to see your backup photos online somewhere? not in photostream?

She said she was going to hook up her phone to her laptop and manually move photos off. I'm not sure she can do that (She's not the most computer literate)😱

Is there a backup to cloud feature that could handle 10+Gb of photos without costing an arm and a leg?😕
 
Transfer her photos/videos to a computer and have her view them on there. The phone is recognized as a camera when you plug it into a computer with iTunes installed.

Or tell her to buy a larger capacity iPhone.
 
I backup the photos to iPhoto. This will create a directory on your computer from which you can see all the pictures.

If you don't want to go through that route, fr said that you can download all the pictures manually to a folder on your PC. This will also work, although it won't be as streamlined.

After going through the folder and deleting what pictures you don't want, you can backup the directory to Google Drive or other service. Google Drive will give you 15Gb of free space.

After showing that all of her pictures are on "The Cloud," delete them all from her phone to free space.
 
I was hoping there might be an app to backup directly from the phone. I seriously am not sure she'll be able to get the photos off the phone. 🙂
 
Be careful removing the photos after you/she backs them up. If you delete them and they are stored on iCloud as well they may d/l again a la sync.

Personally, I distrust iCloud--sell you your own data over and over again. Nice cellular carrier friendly feature.
 
Dropbox and OneDrive both can read the camera roll and back up your photos for you, but that'll take forever, and the phone has to be on, unlocked, and that app open for it to work.

Even without iTunes, if you plug the phone into the computer, you should be able to access the photos and pull them off.

You can install the iCloud Control Panel in Windows, that will start dumping the photostream into your Pictures library.
 
All the cloud drive apps I know of will recompress your photos. It's better to move them off to a PC using a photo manager. If you only have access to a Windows PC, use Windows Live Photo Gallery or Google Picasa (both are free to download).

iCloud backups typically only take place when you're connected to WiFi and charging.

Apple made a point to say everything is 1:1 with no compression when they roll out these services along with iOS 8.

Currently, I believe iCloud backups are not re-compressed, but Photostream recompresses them.

Dropbox and Box.net apps recompress. I believe SkyDrive / OneDrive too.

Dropbox app will upload photos to dropbox (obviously). I use that for to get an automatic copy of my pics.

I think you have to enable photostream to see icloud pics online.
