I just recently started using Firefox and have spent the past few weeks tweaking the settings in both the options menu and using about:config. I have also installed and configured several extensions. I am looking for a way to back up these settings so that if/when i reformat, i will not have to re-do all the work i've done.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Backup your profile. It should be in something like ~/.firefox or C:/documents and settings/username/application data/mozilla/firefox[/b] .

What about the extensions and their settings, are they contained there also?
