Hi i was wondering if there is a way how to set the computer not just the harddrisk to shut down after like 1 hour? or would i have to download a program?

If you're using WinME, Win2K, WinXP, you can use the Hibernate feature which basically shuts down your PC after a set amount of time. The difference between Hibernate and a regular shut off is that Hibernate dumps whatever is in RAM at the moment into a file and restores it once you turn your PC back on. It's as if it was never off to begin with.
