If you use a Windows 10 laptop then chances are that the brightness adjusting options are available as quick keys on your keyboard. But if you are using a desktop, or the quick keys are not available on your laptop, it can be quite troublesome to change the brightness settings in Windows 10. So here are steps that you can follow to change the brightness in your Windows 10 PC.
Step 1
Open the 'Windows menu'
At the left bottom corner of your PC screen, you will find a 'Windows' icon. This is the button that opens the Windows menu. Click on it once.
Step 2
Open the 'Settings' tab
Again look at the same area where the Windows menu is now open. There will be the settings icon, click on it and the Settings tab will open.
Step 3
Search for 'Display settings'
On the top right side of the Settings tab, there will be an area where you can type in anything to search. Type ‘Display’ and it will automatically search for the display settings.
Step 4
Open 'Display settings'
The search results will be displayed. Select ‘Change display settings’ from the list and click on it.
Step 5
Change brightness level
In the middle of the tab, there will be an option titled ‘Adjust brightness level’ with a slider below it. Click on the slider and drag it to increase or decrease the brightness levels. Once done, click on the ‘Apply’ button below it.
This should have changed the brightness level of your screen accordingly in any Windows 10 PC.
