
ClearType is a kind of font technology developed by Microsoft to enable the user to view the screen in a more clear, precise, and sharper manner. It enhances the reading experience in comparison to the usual display settings in Windows. It is switched off by default. Here’s how you can turn on and adjust the ClearType feature on your PC or laptop.
Step 1
Locate the ‘Search bar’
The search bar icon is located on the bottom left side of the screen next to the windows icon.

Step 2
Search 'ClearType'
Type ‘ClearType’ on the search bar and click on ‘Adjust ClearType Text’.

Step 3
Turn On ‘ClearType’
Check the ‘Turn On ClearType’ icon on ‘ClearType Text Tuner’.

Step 4
Click ‘Next’
Click on the next icon located on the ‘Tuner’ to go to the next step.

Step 5
Windows Configuration
Let the Windows ensure that the monitor is set to the ‘Native resolution’ before clicking ‘Next’.

Step 6
Select ‘Sample Text’
Select the sample texts that suit you the most from the options offered on five pages.

Step 7
Finish Selection
Complete the process of sample selection on the last (5th) page and click ‘Next’. Now, Windows can tune as per your preferences.

Step 8
Finish Process
This is the last step that enables you to tune your text to your computer. Click on 'Finish'. ClearType is now enabled.
