How to Address a Letter

If you don't know the person's sex? I'm writing a letter to someone with a non-specific name, in this case Robin. How should I handle the letter?

Seriously though, I'm not sure. I'd associate Robin with a female most of the time, but you're probably just going to take a guess and cross your fingers.

Uhh if its a friend I think Dear Robin should be fine. If its for work or you're looking for a job Dear Sir or Madam works.

There is someone on anandtech named Robin as well. I have actually known more guys named Robin than girls. My Name is Evan and most people know more girls named Evan than guys. 🙁
