ok guys. I formatted my laptop with a desktop operating system. Now I am trying to use my tv us a second monitor for the same laptop and it doesn't have the feature of a second monitor no more. How can I add this feature back to the laptop? remember i already try going to the display properties tell me something different

What exactly do you mean, by 'with a desktop operating system'? Using Windows and OS X as examples, they are both made in such a way that any disk is usable for both portables and desktops.

So, what you really need here are the drivers and software that are specific to your system. Go to the manufacturer's website and look up the system and you can get the drivers and software for various things there.

There is no difference between the laptop and desktop OS. What is different are the laptop's proprietary drives for the video ports, expansion slots, etc. That is available from you OEM's website or was included as a CD with the notebook package. Looks like another lesson learned.
