How to add a fan or remove a heatsink?

I have a Pentium II 266 processor laying around that I would like to put into a extra computer. It came out of a Gateway box, so that the heatsink is directly riveted to the processor. The tines on the heatsink are so spread out that a fan is tough to attach to it. Are there any ideas that I could try?

You should be able to unscrew or detach the heatsink from the pII-266 CPU body. Then get just a generic HS and Fan combo.
