Try the delete key as well, that's what it is on my ThinkPad (a different model, though). You might need to cold boot instead of just resetting/restarting as well.

According to IBM F1 is the correct key. Are you hitting it at the correct time? If you deleted Windows system files, what do you need in the BIOS? Just curious, as the two don't seem to be related directly to me.

Unless you wants to access IBM Restore Partition which is F11. If you don't have it, call IBM for restore CDs ($30).

I don't know about the OP, but if I wanted to boot from the floppy, CD, or 2nd HD on my thinkpad I would need to enter the bios. I have mine set to only boot from the primary HD and am especially careful to have it not check the floppy.

IME most of the time the computer is starting with a floppy in it is accidental and before I started doing this I'd even gotten one or two viruses from booting floppies before I could scan them (sit down, put floppy in, start computer - damn!). So anyway, it's more convient since you can start the computer with a data floppy in it and it's safer as well.

Good to hear but call IBM to make sure. Maybe they can replace your battery for you.

I work for IT Department and it happen a lot of time within T2X models.
