How to access another computer's disk drives from my netbook

I want to backup my new netbook to my home computer using it's dvd burner. I don't have a large enough flash drive to do this right now so is it possible to do and how can I do it in Windows 7?

if you share a folder from a desktop computer, you can use the windows backup services to do a complete backup to a network share

then, in the event you need to restore the backup image, you boot from a windows 7 drive (you can make a windows 7 flash drive if you dont have win7 and an external dvd drive) and, using the repair options, restore from a network backup.

thats one option, anyway.

If you want to do it using Windows 7 Backup and Restore, you will need to have Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate. Backup & Restore in Windows 7 Home Premium Backup & Restore will not backup to a network location -- although you can move files across the network other ways, just not via Backup & Restore.
