How to access a Drivespace file!?

I have an old computer that is FUBAR'd and I need to access the drvspace.000 on he drive, however I do not have a copy of Drivespace available since I have no other old machines. Any idea on what to do?

You need a DOS 6.2 (or later) bootdisk and ideally another drive
to uncompress the DRIVESPACE drive to.

Just type 'drivespace /uncompress' and follow the prompts.

You can download a DOS 6.22 bootdisk here:

Sorry. Fingers got ahead of brain.
Was reading Drivespace and thinking Doublespace.

If you have access to a Win98 PC, you could hook the drive
to that and use Win98's FAT32 Drive Convertor to restore the data.

There are 3 different versions (2 for Win95, 1 for Win98) of DRIVESPACE
and to try to guess which version was used would be difficult at best. The
drive convertor may be your best (and may be only) way out.
