"Could you imagine what it would have been like if we had walked the entire way?" LoL

the ending in the books was perfect. however, with sam and frodo being gay lovers in the movie, i'd have prefered it if both of them and gollum had been tackled into the lava when fighting for the ring.

This is almost as old as the internet, but I agree it's still pretty funny.

I'd like a version of the movies with the hobbits completely cut out. Holy fuck they're annoying.

And I wonder, would Mt Doom be the ONLY place where the Ring could go to be destroyed? What qualifies it as being within the boundaries of that mountain? Could they put it in any lava stream, or a subducting faultline?
What about a black hole? Would that destroy it properly? Dammit Tolkien, you left too many unanswered questions!

Didn't they say it's because it was forged at Mt Doom?

It's like nobody even knows that all youtube movies have dates on them:
Jan 31, 2006

And we all should know Old's 2nd law: if it's more than an hour old, it's a repost
:awe:

Well yeah, so then, where does Mt Doom start and end? :p
I mean, it's all one big pool of magma - Earth's mantle. Where is the border of Mt Doom wherein the ring could be destroyed? And could it resist the crushing forces of a black hole? What if you tossed it into the LHC's acceleration ring?

(LHC = Large Hobbit Collider)

Fffrrrooodooooooooooooo...

Sssssaaaaaammmmm

The only way they could have improved the LOTR ending in that video is if they'd dropped Frodo in the magma with the ring. God, he was annoying!!

That ending is the natural solution given the events of The Hobbit, reinforced by Gandalf's escape from the tower. It occurred to me as I read the books the first time.

Also, what's with FireFox's spell checker not knowing "Gandalf". Do nerds not program anymore?
