How the hell does the Lexus RX330 get away with clear tail lights?????

3 years ago, I got pulled over and was given a $50 fine for having aftermarket clear tail lights on my car.
I had red bulbs in and the car looked better than with the ugly amber, but that's besides the point.
I took 'em off a month later when it was convenient for me.

Now I see the new RX330's all over the place with stock clear tails.
Those drivers better be getting tickets too :|:|:|:|:|

RX330's pass all governmental tests for safety (headlights, tail lamps, turn signals, etc). Did your aftermarket lights do the same?

There's reflectors on the side (on both the IS300 and RX330) that those aftermarket APC lights don't have... there's a site that tells you why those lights are illegal. Let me see if i can find it.

Those RX330 taillights are the UGLIEST ever. Makes the vehicle look albino....they look like the headlights....which end is which?

i think they look fine. and yes, they meet the regulations.
