How The Hell Do I Uninstall Explorer 5.5?

I "upgraded" to 5.5 a few days ago. I have a crash in Explorer every 10 minutes or so. Tried a 2nd download-no good. tried to overlay Windows again- same thing. In "Add/Remove Programs" there is no option to uninstall. PLEASE don't tell me I have to do a fresh install of Windows!!!! Sinec 5.5 is new, I didn't see ant patch files yet. I hate my life 🙁
 
Go to MS System Info - Tools - Internet Explorer Repair Tool - Restore Previous Windows Configeration - Reboot - You're back where you were with IE5.0
 
Apoppin: tried to do that😛roblem is i tried to do the Windows overlay, so when i go to the "restore prev. version", the box is greyed out, probably because it looked like I had just done a fresh install, and there was no previous version.
 
Was looking for the same info myself and found a solution:

Open C:\Program files\Internet Explorer
right click the folder Uninstall information
click Properties
uncheck the hidden mode and press O K
Go to C:\Program files\Internet Explorer\Setup
Run setup.exe

 
To find Microsoft System Information, type "msinfo" into "find". Lots of important info and tools there.
 
ok, I found "msinfo" as "msinfo32.exe". just uninstalled 5.5 and I am working on getting back to 5.0. my IE reverted back to 4.72, which is kinda weird since I had 5.0 and 5.01 as well since 4.72. oh well... at least I won't have to worry about 5.5 crashing every 10 minutes and screwing up the rest of my system as well.
