How the heck do I quote?

I click the quote button, and it says something like the quote was added, but I don't see it in my message box and it never seems to show up. What am I doing wrong?

Use the "reply" button next to it for the functionality you're probably looking for

on ATOT, "reply" means "quote" and "quote" means "i deserve to be banned"

to use the +quote button, you click it on all the posts you want to multi-quote, then click "insert quotes" down by the bottom left of the text box
