I'm embarrassed asking this... but I can't find the option to uninstall Windows XP Pro anywhere. I booted from the CD, and it onyl gives me options to install and repair. I tried going to control panel > add or remove programs and It's not there either.

You'd think something like this would be EASILY accessible... sigh.

Edit: I want to reinstall on a separate machine that I'm upgrading to. I want to make sure there is no copy on my old PC before I isntall it on my new one.

Boot the XP CD....when you get to the part where you would select a partition to install XP, delete the boot partition then restart....XP will be gone.

You don't "uninstall" an OS. Like doan said, you have to go through the installation till you get to the part where you choose the partition, then you delete the partition that is there. That wipes out all data on the harddrive.

There is a single install path that leaves behind an "equivalent" to an Uninstall, but it is NEVER going to appear as Add/Remove on the first tab. This has been the case since Windows98, probably even Win95. If you performed an upgrade, and agreed to the option to save your prior OS, then if that is a Windows, it appears on the Windows Setup Tab as the option to Reinstall the old Windows. With Win95, what you had before was also often a Windows, so maybe Windows 3.11 was in the same place.
