Lol...me too. I mean, it's a utility provided by a huge monolithic corporation with a history of monopolizing the marketplace. What could possibly go wrong?

If you just keep putting numbers and letters it stays on medium...but add one special char and it's best. meh

you need to combine it with symbols/punctuations like !@#$%^&, and it should exceed 14 characters.

apparently it gives the highest rating when you use both numbers and upper case letters mixed in as well

All of mine register as strong. I use a combination of upper/lower case, numbers, and symbols.

So MS has yet another way to take over the world.

nice.

1) capture passwords and their overall structure
2) let security hole take advantage of collected passwords?
3) push a security product
4) oh gee, profit.

who would have thunk it. sheer genius.

Three types of characters: letters, numbers, special

Weak: 1 type of character used in password
Medium: 2 types of characters used in password
Strong: 3 types of characters used in password

Not really, as long as the characters are unique, has a cap or two, and a number or two.

best... 16 characters, an assortment of lowercase/capital letters, numbers, and non-alphanumeric symbols.
