How soon b4 we see the NV30 or GeForce 5 ?

I may just skip over this generation of nVidia GeForce 4 cards....

So naturally, I was wondering if anyone knew how long B4 the next-gen comes out ?

I say, Nvidia will release GF5 in late September early October...... This is a safe bet I think

nvidia made an announcement a few weeks ago i believe for a next generation of cards coming out in august.
exactly 6 months since the release of geforce4. whether this will be the nv30 im not positive. im pretty sure it will be the nv30 though.

We probably won't see it until DX9.0 is finalised and since it's only just gone beta it'll be a few months at least.

They (nvidia)n have stated the need to introduce new products so they can their is less need to be competitive pricewise earlyon. I think paper launch august available early september. Jan 2003 should see the nv35 which will be a pumped up nv30.

I personally don't care when it comes out. There won't be any software that takes advantage of it's features for a year, maybe 2 anyways. I just upgraded from a GF2 GTS to GF$ Ti4600 because I figured that it was a waste to buy a GF3...there ought to be software to take advantage of GF3/4's features any time now.

I also heard that they were changiong their lineup and their next card will have some 3dfx technology in it. Not sure if it will be called nv30 or what it will be called.
