Heh, not really a great measuring stick of intelligence, but list all the major exams (SAT,MCAT,LSAT,etc.) you've taken and scores (yours/max).

For me, I've only ever taken the SAT's

REG: 1400/1600 (650V/750M)
CHEM: 720
MATH IIC: 710
WRITIN: 710

Plenty of people have posted bogus SAT scores on this forum. So those here prefere a different standard.

Go here and take the test. Come back with your score and we can compare it with not only mine, but with what the average of this board is.

We don't know that they are bogus, we don't know that they are not.

Plus SAT scores can be whack or different depending on the circumstances. SO everyone just goes and takes this test to set some sort of standard. Everyone taking the same test so to speak.

If you are fairly intelligent, as would be suggested by your SAT scores, the test shouldn't take you too long. Just go ahead and take it :)

that test score depends on the circumstances just as much... everyone takes the sat (or at least most do).

yea i went part way through it, but then i realized it was a waste of time. the diff between the sat and that is that the sat actually counted towards something, so it was more or less a requirement. whereas this is just... amusement... and i'm tired :)

It's 4:05 in the morning here and I'm dl'ing p0rn...does it look like I want to take a test?!?! It's not even the school year ;)

Hey man, I thought SAT's were standardized, scores are adjusted nationwide so that they reflect the difficulty of each test, even though two different tests might be different. SAT is a standard, and I stick by it.

And no, I'm not taking another test until September!

It gets even more amusing when you check your score in your e-mail. I was just having a little fun. My posts weren't serious.

actually, this brings up an interesting issue: does America need/should America use a standardized testing system? Lots of parents say no...they're kids can't handle it, it's not fair...whatever.

I personally think that we should! How do we know if a tenth grader in New York is on the same level as one in Cali? If you go by GPA or grades, it's all relative to the teachers and the system itself and not necessarily of the student. Does this make sense to anyone else?

in my experience, most parents who say that are those who's kids wouldn't of scored stellar anyways.

yea you don't, it's imperfect. but with such a large amount of students, i don't see an alternative.

SAT's don't really require studying for IMO, they're like basic, basic stuff man. The II's are a little harder, but I wouldn't take them unless I had a course that covered the material...still doesn't require studying for, other than whatever you did for your class (eg. honors chem ==> chem sat prep!)
