How should you install k-lite mega codec?

Hi,

i have installed K-lite Mega codec 1.48

now 1.49 is out, should i remove the previous before installing the new version?
how could i do that?

New ones come out like every few days. Don't worry about even installing it. I just install the latest version when I reinstall Windows (every 6-12 months). New versions may have some minor differences but file formats don't change that often.

I'm an update freak, so I always install the newest version. I uninstall the old version first, but I don't think you have to.

err i was an update freak but i went lazy and now i just update when something is running right :! i had alot of experience where things were working perfectly and i updated it and things went bad to not working at all

Uninstall your klite codec and restart the comp , install the new klite codec pack :! best way.

I also uninstalled Realplayer and quicktime, but that's because I'm using Mega pack which includes realplayer and quicktime alternatives.

I don't install anything but VLC. So far, it's been fine.
