How should I thank this guy?

For one of my language classes, a guy loaned me his notes for all the vocabulary for the entire semester. He wrote them out himself, and it totals 9 pages in a language that requires a completely different keyboard to type them with. How should I thank him. Is a simple "thank you" enough?
 
Did he specifically type them out because you asked to borrow them? If so, then I'd probably say thank you.

If not, I'd probably say thank you.
 
lol naw he typed them out to use for himself as well. hes a grad student and im a high school student in the same russian class. i think sexual favors are a bit out of the question.
