How should I set up these fans?

Well i'm doing an upgrade soon which will involve replacing my board, so i figured while im doing that I might as well redo my fan layout because it's not performing too well. I have an antec with two fans at the lower front, two at the upper rear just below the psu, two inside the psu sucking air in and blowing it out the rear of the psu, and a 170 cfm up top. All these fans have controls set up at the fornt of the case. What i'm trying to do is figure out a way that I can get two "settings" for the fans, one for normal use and one for gaming or other intense usage. I'm trying to position these fans so that they don't conflict when I switch "settings". The two lower fans near the HDs are always on. those aren't the issue right now. the three other fans are. Right now I'm thinking I could have one facing inwards and one outwards. for normal use, the one facing outwards would be on, taking the warm air out of the case, with the other fan off. When I need better air flow, I could turn that fan off, turn on the one facing inwards, and turn on the large fan up top, which would create a nice upside down V shape leading air out the top.
low airflow

high airflow

The other option would be to have both rear fans facing outward. I could turn them off for better cooling and juet let the larger fan up top do the exhaust work. low airflow
high airflowAny thoughts? Input would be appreciated.

maybe you could use switches to run the fans at full speed or with a 7 volt configuration. You could use a baybus or a rheobus.

yep I have a baybus, fan control is not a problem. Deciding which way to aim the fans is
:D

A silly question from me... Do you really need all those fans? In many cases intake fans and outtake fans are not coordinated to give the same airflow in and out of the case resulting in stagnation of the flow.
Have you tried looking at the case and cpu temp while shutting down for instance the two intake fans?

Just my two cents...

I've been having problems with my hard drives recently, as a result i've decided to keep the two intakes on at all times to ensure the drives get ample cooling. I can't afford too many more dead 80 gigers due to heat
