How should I paint my memory heatspreaders?

I want to paint them so they can match the colors. Do i need to prime them first? Also do I need to put a layer of clear over the paint?

hmmm, not sure thts such a good idea ... u might wanna look into a specialized paint tht conducts heat well

Yeah, the idea of painting something that gets hot doesn't appeal to me either. You'd of course need to take them off of the RAM first...and the insulating properties of the paint....well, you might as well just leave the heatspreaders off then.
I have already seen heatspreaders anodized in various colors; unfortunately I can't remember where anymore.
