How should I package a Wii for shipping?

Well I was at Toys 'R Us at opening time Sunday to pick up Guitar Hero III (wii) on sale. I also ended up picking up a Wii for my brother who hasn't been able to get his hands no one yet. So I need to ship it out, but I've never shipped a system before. Will it be safe just wrapping up the Wii box and sending it off that way? Or will I need to buy a bigger box and some padding?

Either way will work fine. Place it in a bigger box with padding if you don't want any damage to the Wii box.

I'd put it in another box with some bubble wrap, just to be safe.

I shipped my Wii to Alaska when I sold it and I used packing peanuts and bubble wrap in a larger box. Of course, I had a bunch of accesories with it too.

It's already boxed; double-boxing only requires that you find a slightly bigger box, put the Wii inside, and fill the empty space with packing material (newspaper, peanuts, craft paper, bubble wrap, air bags, etc.) so it doesn't bang around inside the larger box.

The Wii box is not designed to be cushy... DEFINITELY put it in another box with padding because whatever service you use is bound to play kickball with it at lunchtime.

put it in a bigger box with packing peanuts, newspaper, bubble wrap, foam, whatever you can get your hands on and pack it in nice and tight.

this is how i shipped one i sold on eBay, and my feedback was:

"A++++++ great seller"

^^ proof that it is the way to go! TRUE TESTIMONIALS

when selling wiis on ebay you should just use bubble wrap and brown paper. That is how I sent numerous ones and it's the best way to do it.
