Diagram of My Network

Computer C is upstairs. Computer C has a 4 port router and the cable modem. One port of the router goes to Computer C, and the 2nd port of the router goes through the wall, down stairs into another room into a Hub.

The hub then has computer A and B connect into it. A and B are networked.

Is there anything I should do to increase the speed in my network as well as increase speed downloading. I want to maximize Computer A and B's download speed.

Should I replace the hub with another router? Suggestions?

You do not need a second Router unless you would like to create two independent Networks.

The question should probably be: Should I replace the Hub with a Switch?

A ? If the Hub is 100Mb/sec. capable, given that to have only two computers plugged to it, there is No difference between a Hub and a Switch.

As far as the computers go: Optimizing the TCP/IP Stack - http://www.ezlan.net/Internet_Speed.html
