lol, you're really that concerned about 25 bucks? I expected this thread to be about $500 or something. I'd have written it off long ago and counted the $$ as a lesson learned to be more careful who I lend things to.

It's the principle not the amount that matters to me.

My personal policy:

Don't loan money with the intention of getting it back unless you do a contract. If I get it back, great... but if I don't after a few months of reminding, oh well.

Now, I don't just give out money though, and certainly not large chunks of money. But I will help out a friend in need, and if he/she doesn't pay me back eventually, well I don't consider them a friend.

tell her she has 25 days to pay it back, so save. Then after that she will be charged interest.

I didn't lend her money.

Honestly, you are an idiot for lending someone your phone (it sounds like it was for more than one quick call). I mean, other than family or close friends, who the F does that?

Consider it a 25 lesson to you to not lend expensive items to the people you hang out with (who are, apparently, losers).

1) I lent the girl the phone for the night, as I was with her all night, i got drunk and passed out she went home with it.
2) This girl isn't my friend, she is the friend of a friend, I don't have out with losers.
3) I'm not losing this last £25

This does not help your case.

Apparently, you do.

Ever hear the saying, "Throwing good money after bad?"
