How should I deal with Klipsch....

I sent my Promedia 5.1's in for repair almost 3 months ago, and they still haven't repaired them. When the Promedia 5.1's first came out, they all had a flaw in them which causes the amp to burn on fairly quickly. So I paid the $60 and shipped my sub to them, and 3 months later they keep giving me the same story that the parts are coming from China and there is a shipping problem... There any way I can complain and perhaps get a new sub? 3 months is a long ass time...

yeah-complain to the supervisor's supervisor. Make sure you are calm, but firm. Don't be arrogant. Then you'll be fine.

I had my 2.1's die on me...

they were out of warrenty and i went to klipsch and wrote a nasty email...I got the number of some subcontracter PR guy who setup an exchange.

if you are within the warrenty....feel free to go apesh!t on them...3 months is ridiculous and you should not have to pay any shipping.

if it comes down to it...use anandtech and other sites like toms etc as leverage...
do you know how rough it would be if you said you were a prominent member of anandtech and tomshardware forums and you are trash talking their brand to their only market?

I'd bet a good 20% of their systems are sold to members of those two sites alone...file complaints do whatever...
there is no way you should pay $60+time lost for their crap design.

it's in writing (warrenty)...you have law on ur side 🙂

and they don't need to know that.

how do you define "prominent" ?

senior member, golden member, lifer?
besides...anandtech is sworn to privacy agreement...klipsch cannot get the info and has no right ask you what your username is.

I got mine when they were first made, so there is no warranty. The speakers themselves work fine, but the amp is blown in the sub. All I want is sound =(

Not sure what to say... One of my brothers promedia speakers kept burning out so they just sent him an entirely new setup [In exchange for his ofcourse] but it seemed pretty simple

I would have to agree.. My friend emailed a rep like a month after his warantee expired on his speakers, and they STILL sent him a new set of speakers [in exchange of his].

I would rattle off another email to them and politely suggest they send you your speakers.

Heh funny you say that. When I went to complain about IBM's monitor service, it took the supervisor's, supervisor's, supervisor to finally get someone who had the power to do anything about it.
