how should i cook my steak?

I cooked a couple steaks in the oven last night and it was delicious. I put the oven on broil and cooked the steaks until they were just a little bit crispy on the outside, I topped it with blue cheese and my wife and I devoured them.

Use a cast iron pan if you've got one.

Preheat oven to 400°F. Pour about 3 tablespoons of olive oil into the pan and heat it up nice and hot (level 7 on my stove is good). Then, put the steak in (watch for grease splatters!) and cook it about 2 min. on each side. Then, place the steak and the pan in the oven and cook it for about 5 min. on each side.

The frying gives the steak a crispy crumbly surface while the inside is nice and rare.

TTIWWP. 😛

I use my foreman all the time for steak. If you dont overcook it, its decent. Let it sit on the counter for about a half hour prior to the grill, it will cook better.
