How should I connect my PC to an HDTV?

Of course. DVI or HDMI is digital video, signal quality loss on the path from PC graphics card memory to the TV's display buffer is zero.
Do the same for audio - digital link - and you got a 100% solution there.

Some have issues with their digital inputs given a PC as source and VGA could be a better option though.

Also with sound there's more to picking which method is better than the amount of signal loss.

My question was not about sound.
Do you have any links that talk about problems with digital video and preference of VGA over DVI or HDMI?

If one can't address the native resolution of the TV via the digital input, that's reason for returning the unit ... after all, getting pixel-precise reproduction of the source image is what digital inputs are ALL about.

This is the TV.

I have a 7900 GTO.

I already have a wide-screen monitor for the PC. So, I will not be using the HDTV as a PC monitor. But, I may want to play a DVD movie on the PC and watch it on the HDTV!

That link isn't working for me right now.

Try looking up the model on AVSforum to see if anyone mentions using the digital input and getting native res on it.

I'm sorry about the link.
