Besides dust, there are some other spots that I want to try and remove and a dry cloth doesn't always do it. Is there a liquid that is safe to wipe on there without damaging it?

LOL - you crack me up man!

Seriously - we just use the pre-packaged isopropyl alcohol wipes here.

So plain water is safe then?

Yes, as long as you don't drench it. Just dampen a cloth and wipe it. You can even use a touch of liquid soap (dish soap or hand soap) if you need to get rid of greasy fingerprints or something like that.

I usually use water, but someone gave me a bottle of Kingston Screen Guardian, and it works perfectly. :)

Lazy easy solution is to buy some monitor wipes at BB B&M

Of course I waited until a customer appreciation weekend and used a 10% off coupon.

*sigh* The king of frugal spending money when all you need is a little water and dish soap.....thing I'm sure you already have on hand.

So they rebadge and sell baby wipes at a higher price now.

I dont think your supposed to use anything with alcohol or other harsh chemicals in it b/c it would..eventually...harm the anti-glare coating and such..

Don't use alcohol or ammonia. I hear it destroys the coatings on the screen.

I was thinking the exact same thing... I don't think I'd have noticed if it was from someone else. Rossman's saved me a bunch of money in the past.... now he wants me to spend it!

btw, if you use soapy water, rinse it off with clean water... soap leaves a really thin film that can build up over time. Also, use a soft cloth, not paper towels... paper towels are abbrasive; they contain wood fibers. I don't clean my glasses with a 2x4, why would I clean them with a tinier version of a 2x4? People with glasses know that after time, paper towels contribute to little tiny scratches on their lenses... any place that sells eyeglasses will tell you to use a soft cloth.
