How should I back up Win98 on a CDR?

Hi Geniuses!

I have a CD Writer and I would like to back up windows, registry autoexe,
config.sys and directx and a few other essential barebones files.
What else should I put on the Cd just to make a format or a crash
hassle free?

you should just ghost your whole drive for quick recovery of your system. you can put your drive image onto a bootable cd using a program like norton ghost.
