Someone please tell me how I should set my cards (in what order) for an IWILL ka266-r. The PCI components are as follows

SB Live Value
Adaptec 2640u2b scsi card
3com network card

Where should I stick each component? I know it matters since different slots share IRQ ports w/ different components. Starting from the port right below the AGP port, what should my setup be? Btw, I have an AIW Radeon32mb AGP for the video card

ok, i wouldn't put anything in the slot right below the agp card, it's usually shared w/ AGP slot.

also, every time you boot - you can see which cards are in which slot, with which IRQ.
I would try putting in 1 card at a time, until you get it working nicely.

ps. I would also put the sound card in the lowest slow possible to reduce noise

I would try the NIC in PCI slot 2 or 3.
Dunno anything about SCSI.

Good Luck

Exactly.. I actually have from right to left..

7P 6P 5P 4P 3P 2P 1A
1A - AGP - VIDEO
2P - EMPTY - Slot Fan
3P - ADAPTEC 2940U2W
4P - NIC CARD
5P - SOUND CARD

P/PCI - A/AGP

My NIC is one of those small half height so the adaptec scsi cable is hanging on top so it doesn't touch the back of the NIC and put my sound card after the nic .. had no problem..

What I notice is some mobo scans slot from A towards the left so ie
Iwill IDE RAID
ADaptec SCSI
If scsi is on the left side of the IDE RAID, it gets scan after IDE and computer can't boot, but moving the SCSI to the right, thus letting it scan first, it'll see the RAID card and boot from there.. some weird stuff..
