How sensitive is the Gamecube laser?

How sensitive is the Gamecube laser to scratches on the games? Anyone have some ruffed up games that still play like new?

probably just as sensitive as other lasers in other consoles. Do you have a game that's not playing or something?

I just bought a used copy of Zelda Windwaker and it had a minor spot or 2 on it and was curious if the system seemed to not like scratches.

I bought some used games with minor scratches that work fine with my GC. Zelda rocks! I envy you your first-time experience!
