How secure is the Zalman 7000? I'm trying to decide between it and another HSF, and would choose the Zalman except for what I've read about it being insecure. Is this true, or is it fine? (for those who have it) Would you worry about damaging your processor/mobo while transporting your pc with the Zalman mounted?

i've ordered one for myself along with a zalamn heatpipe for my 9800pro

my answer would be: if u're transporting ur PC, remove the hsf, no matter what brand/model. its just safer!

It is secure. It has a very good mechanism to secure the unit. However, the unit is quite heavy which could damage the socket when transporting or moving the case around.
