I haven't used any of those programs before, but is Ares Galaxy a good P2P program.
Is it so that once you install this program people from the outside have access to the "shared folders" you setup in the program.
Now, I have 3 questions regarding security:
1/ if you close the program, can people still connect to your computer or not? What do you need to do to stop people from connecting to your pc, to become invisible again to the outside world.. is closing Ares Galaxy enough or how does that work? Anybody could please explain all this cause this is all new to me and I want to do things as safe as possible.
2/ can people really only access the "shared folders" you setup in Ares Galaxy or can they go beyond those folders?
Is Ares Galaxy the best P2P program for finding mp3's (in my case trance/club) or are there others they are better/more safe.
One final thing, the program needs to work with Windows 98 which I still use and very light on the CPU cause I have an old pc on which I want to install it.
