How safe is wireless networking?

I'm thinking of trying it out (currently using phoneline networking) but am a little worried because they are essentially using microwave frequencies and I'm not comfortable with the thought of having microwaves flying around me.

Hi,

I tohught by "safe" you meant "secure" - but you actually mean "will it make me ill".

Well, There's no consensus that it makes you ill. Do you use a mobile phone? The level of radiation emitted is lower than that in terms of energy and penetration. I think you'll be fine.

Cheers,

Andy

Ditto what Andy said. Most transmitters on WiFi networks are under 100mW. Where on a cell network it ranges from 1-4W!!!

In theory the 2.4GHz Frequency is No Good to anything based on water.

Howvever most Entry Level Wireless Radios are 33mW.
