I was looking on EBay for a Canon A70 and saw some great deals, around ~$220 or so for a "new" one. If they say it's new and its a from a "power seller" do you think it will be an actual new, good camera?

If the power seller has GOOD feedback with few negatives compared to overall positives, then go for it. Actually I think power sellers have to have 99.5% positives or something like that.

Some sellers are good, some aren't. I have almost 1500 positives and a few negatives (mainly from ebay newbies) and always try to make sure that the buyer is 100% satisfied.

just use common sense, if it is too good to be true, it probably is. Check feedback, look for strange things like wire transfers only, etc.

It is generally very safe. Just use common sense, and if anything seems wrong.....

Post about it here. :p

Just go by the idea that if it's too good to be true... then it probably isn't real.

Not saying that you couldn't get that camera for 220, but if someone has one listed for 50 dollars, you might wanna pass on it.
