How rich are you?

Ummm I made -20,000 last year between school tuition and my job... I figure I should have money comming in any time soon. 🙁

i put in 10000$ and it said this

You are in the top 13.26% richest people in the world.
There are 5,204,294,954 people poorer than you.

thats just wrong

~$60K (I just got bumped to $29/hour - legal field)
You are in the top 0.837% richest people in the world.
There are 5,949,747,315 people poorer than you.

Anyone know the hard statistics? Isn't it something like 5 billion people are living on less than $100 a month?

Considering a. there's alot of poverty in the world, and b. cost of living varies tremendously with each country, the results don't surprise me...

For the heck of it I put in $1000 and:

You are in the top 44.52% richest people in the world.
There are 3,328,279,301 people poorer than you.

Three billion people live on less than $2 per day while 1.3 billion get by on less than $1 per day.

What I want to know is, where can I move that I can live on the $4500 I made last year? North Jersey sure isn't the right place. (see my previous post about the leaks in my ceiling . . . )

i'd like them to revise their calculator according to region (e.g. nyc -- perhaps even certain parts, such as tribeca; boston, etc).

You are in the top 0,001% richest people in the world.
You don¹t need to know any more than that (and besides our calculator can't do sums that big).
Please consider donating just a small amount of your enormous wealth to help some of the poorest people in the world. Many of their lives could be improved dramatically or even saved if you donate just one hour's salary (approx $694444.44)

Damn.
