How reliable is PC Alert 4?(temperature readings too high)

I got me a new mainboard (MSI K7N2-L) and it came with PC Alert 4 but I find the temperature readings quite strange. It says that the temperature of the opened case is 30°C while the room temperature itself is 20°C. Also it says the temperature of the processor is around 55°C while it's idle, which is a bit high considering I have a Thermalright SLK 600 with a Y.S. 1.44W/12V fan and the CPU is running at stock speed (it's a 1800+ Palomino).
I am sure the case temperature is wrong but how about the CPU temperature?

it's actually a known issue and i think the new BIOS that's coming out sometime will fix it. Check out threads over at nForcerHQ.com to see what's up.
