How relevant is this setup?

I know it was a low to mid range build when I built it over a year or so ago. Just wondering if it will be good enough for casual gaming and fallout 4 when it comes out? Have a little more time on my hands and pc gaming sounds fun.

16gb ram
600w power supply
Thanks.

I'd call that kind of low-end. Is the FX overclocked at all? The 7850 is probably slightly worse than an R9 270.

Fallout 4? Hard to say. Seems it's based on an engine similar to Skyrim, but that doesn't actually tell me a whole lot.

It's not oc'ed. Really don't want to do the overclocking anymore as I don't want to invest time in it and amd cpu's run hot stock. If I can get medium and 45fps I'd be happy.

At worst you drop the resolution below 1080p -- try 13x7 and 14x9 to see what combination of resolution and image quality gives the best FPS.

7850 is still fine for casual gaming. You'll have to forgo anti-aliasing, but 1920x1080 at mediumish settings is realistic. Some games are a bit slow on the FX but it's still a usable chip.

it should deliver slightly better quality than a PS4 on most games.
