I think a few of them died what, last year or the year before? Or was that the driver of a Subu? They're hardly immune from danger (ie, yes they're nuts)

Its rally car driving. The haven of the most insane (and skilled) drivers of all.

It's not all that insanely hard to be honest, just the ability to keep the car flowing smoothly really.

And before you say it, yes, I've done rallying in a full-blown Group-A-spec Escort Cosworth (2.0 turbo, 4wd). Beat the instructor and shredded the rear nearside tire ;)

The rally spectators are nuttier than squirrel turd...

I do think rally is more exciting than say, F1 racing, but my fave is still touring car. Seriously good action (cars can take a few hits too) and decent rules such as adding ballast to the winner of the first race, etc. Keeps the action constantly hot.

They have any kind of racing like rallying in the US? All I ever seem to see is oval or drag racing on the TV over here...

oi im sane ill have u know, doesnt half scare the sh!t out of you though!!!

aye BTCC is awesome, those guys really do go at it all the time, F1 is just a showcase for neat technology. but Rally is still my favourite

that technique is called the canadian flick....it unsettles the car so you can swing it round tight corners....it usually involves you turning the opposite way to the corner first then turning back into the corner sharpish bringing the back of the car round
