How Quite would these fans be?

This fan at 28dba? How loud would that actually be?

Also, how loud would any 30dba fan be for that matter?

It's for my BIP3 and I need 3 fans for it.

Or what about this fan, it's cheaper, is the same amount of dba, and even moves more air.

OR
should I get the cheap Yate Loon's?

Choosing some fans is such hard work now adays.

There's so many choices!

I wouldn't trust the specs on the Evercool. Heard good things about the Scythe. YL's are always a safe bet.

Here's some thoughts for buying fans...

- Where's it gonna go?
- Am I running it at 12v, undervolting, or on a fan controller?
- How much CFM do I need for both exhaust and intake?

Some other fans to consider-

For exhaust and undervolting:

120mm x 38mm Sanyo Denki San Ace 109R1212H1011 Case Fan (102.5 CFM, 39 dBA)
http://www.petrastechshop.com/12x38sadesan.html

For quiet but low CFM:

Akasa 120mm Amber 44.8 CFM @ 1400 RPM, 18.0 dBA

120mm Nexus Silent Case Fan (36.82 CFM/22.8 dBA)

Have fun!

Running them on my BIP3.
Probably full 12v (but still want them quite)
Third question dosn't apply since it's going outside the case.

If you're not going to undervolt, get a Nexus. If you're willing to undervolt, get a Yate Loon. The Evercool isn't as quiet, but it's decently quiet once undervolted below 5v. Moves a lot of air.

man, so many choices....the nexus is definitely the quietest but it doens't blow that much air, especially for a radiator. I've heard the lower speed S-flex fan, the 49CFM one at 20.1 db. It blows more air then the Nexus fan, but is a tiny bit louder than the Nexus, barely noticible though. I havent heard the higher speed S-flex, but im impressed with the lower speed. Yate loon is always a good bet too.

I got 3 Akasa. Quite, yet still pushes enough air for my needs.

Now I'm just waiting on the rest of the WC stuff. (Storm rev.2, etc.)
