how quiet are dell desktops?

Title says it all. In general, are dell desktop systems quiet, noisy, or what?

They probably put different fans on a 2 GHz as oppsed to a 1.4 GHz CPU. But they are generally quiet, one of the reasons is their thick plastic on the new cases.

My 4100 was really quiet. Its really all in the HDD. My maxtor could be set to quiet or high performance. On quiet the thing was almost silent. I don't think anyone can just tell you for sure whether one will be quiet unless they have the exact system you are looking at.
