I'm curious... for all of you people who took up Apple's offer of a free copy of Infinity Blade 2 last week, how quickly were you able to beat it?

Since I already learned how to hack and slash my way to victory in Infinity Blade 1, I was able to get through the game pretty quickly. I was able to beat the end boss by level 30 in about 6 hours, with the help of a health regeneration potion at the end.

It's been about a year or so. Still haven't beaten it yet. But I would say that's more because I haven't had time to play it much. :p

To me Infinity Blade is the poster child of mobile games where you have people who go "Look at this cool game!" but as a PC gamer I can't help but think "That's not a game, it's a time waster."

Sigh, how long do we have to wait before we start seeing more games like Bastion for mobile devices? I need me some plot and controls beyond swiping. Infinity Blade reminds me of Dora the Explorer, too slow and simple.

Infinity Blade 2 is a bit more complex, as there are three different types of weapons and you can modify them. More boss characters, too.

It sounds like XCOM might be more your style, though.
