How quick does money make it into my checking account?

Say I splurge and buy a 180 dollar phone for my college dorm room. After taking it home, I realize that I overspent my phone budget by a hundred bucks and I need to return it. I head back to Best Buy and return it and they credit back to my card. Now, this was saturday night. How quickly does my bank balance show the refund?

Probably three days! Its amazing that they can take it out in one day, but it takes three to put it back in!

OMG!! Makes me feel a lot better. I freaked out when I checked my account balance and was like. How'd it go down? I returned like 250 worth of stuff and bought 100 worth of stuff. How'd it go down 100?! Guess thats why. They didn't refund it yet.

It depends, since you did thoes transactions on a saturday, they most likely won't be processed until monday morning.

Normally it takes about 24-48 hours for money that you deposited or money credited to your account to show up.

Your banks policy is the best reference to check.
