How profitable have video games been for YOU

Just wondering how many, if any, people out there have made money from video games. I'm not talking about ebaying the xBox720 or the PSthreev, I'm talking about tournaments, etc. Tell us what you won, who you competed against, and how you were able to win. I'm going to keep a list of those who have won money and how much. Also, if someone calls shens on you, present PROOF that you won!

MMO account selling doesn't count because you aren't competing directly with other people.

won $35 in a Super Smash Bros. Melee tourny last year. We held a tournament for all 35 of us on my hall last year and I won.

a couple years back I won $10 for a Capcom vs. SNK 2 tournament back in Maine at the local arcade. got beat by my brother of all people.

I won a rinky dinky SFII tourney back in High School. The promoter never showed up so technically I never got my prize money. But, I should have won 50 bucks. I've been a die hard gamer since Pong.. err well we had Zonk, which was the Motgomery Wards knockoff. And even today I'm hardly good enough at any games to win cash monies.

I've won a 250CD/DVD carring case with BAWLS and ALIENWARE written on it..!!!! Which was a lot more then i expected to get from the lan party. The had a prize table and they set up matches between people in BF2 winning team got to draw for prizes

money usually gets split 5 ways tho. our team won $500 twice, 5 xbox's, and $250 twice, so i got $300 and an xbox. oh and a couple cases of bawls
